Buttercup and Clover, are the two latest arrivals at St James City Farm . The ‘Dexter’ breed of cows are both girls and one is just over 6 months and the other 10 months old. Dexter cows are the smallest native breed of cattle in the UK and originate from Ireland. The ‘farm’ had one that lived for over twenty years and was due a replacement for some time but awaiting sponsorship, so fortunately Gloucestershire Young Farmers Association and local retired farmer Eric Farmer sponsored these friendly creatures.
